Arena 8 — Terms of Service

1.What Arena 8 is

Arena 8 organises ranked competitive padel sessions. You claim a seat in an arena, turn up at a padel club, play five games with rotating partners, and your result moves your ranking.

Arena 8 is a platform. We arrange the matches and hold the rankings. We do not own or operate the padel clubs, and we do not supervise play.

2.Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Arena 8. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given you permission to play and has read these terms.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, claim extra coin allowances, or gain any other advantage will result in removal.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself.

Your display name is visible to other players. Names that are offensive, impersonate someone else, or are chosen to mislead will be changed or removed.

3.How a session works

An arena is eight players on two courts. Five games, each 20 minutes, with a three minute break after each. Your partner changes every game.

A game ends when the 20 minute timer runs out. Whoever is ahead wins. If the score is level, a tie break decides it, first to 7. No game ends in a draw.

Your session result is calculated from the games you won. Your rating moves based on how you performed against what was expected of you.

Ranking decisions, tier movements and the calculation behind them are ours to make. We may adjust them if we find an error, if a result was affected by a dispute, or if we believe a result was manipulated.

4.Arena Coins

Arena Coins are the in-app currency used to claim a seat. Entry costs a flat 50 coins in Season 0. You receive a weekly allowance.

Coins have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or redeemed outside Arena 8. They are a mechanism for allocating seats fairly, not a financial instrument.

We may adjust coin balances to correct errors, reverse fraudulent activity, or apply penalties described in these terms.

5.Court fees

The court fee is real money, paid by you directly to the padel club. You will see the amount before you claim a seat.

Arena 8 does not collect, handle or take any share of court fees. Any dispute about a court fee is between you and the club.

6.Cancellations and penalties

When you claim a seat, seven other people are relying on you to turn up.

• —More than 24 hours before: full refund of your entry cost.
• —12 to 24 hours before: 25 percent fee, the rest refunded.
• —30 minutes to 12 hours before: 50 percent fee, the rest refunded.
• —Within 30 minutes, or not turning up: no refund, plus an additional penalty.

Penalties are charged in Arena Coins. Repeatedly failing to turn up may result in suspension.

If Arena 8 cancels a session, you are refunded in full.

7.Physical risk

Padel is a physical sport. You play at your own risk.

You confirm that you are physically fit to play and that you have no medical condition that makes playing unsafe.

Arena 8 does not supervise sessions, provide coaching, or assess anyone's fitness to play. We are not present at the venue. We do not provide medical assistance, insurance, or first aid.

Any injury, illness or damage to property arising from playing is not our responsibility. Facilities, courts and equipment belong to the club, and any claim about their condition is between you and the club.

We strongly recommend you have your own health insurance.

8.How you must behave

Turn up when you say you will. Play fairly. Enter scores honestly.

Deliberately entering false scores, colluding to manipulate results, or arranging outcomes in advance will result in removal from the platform and forfeiture of your ranking.

Abuse, harassment, threats or discrimination toward other players, club staff or Arena 8 will result in immediate removal.

Follow the rules of the club you are playing at.

9.Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove your account if you break these terms, manipulate results, repeatedly fail to attend, abuse other players, or use the platform in a way that damages it.

We will normally tell you why. In serious cases we may act immediately.

Coins held at the time of removal are forfeited.

10.Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

Your personal details are removed permanently. Your past match results remain in other players' records with your name detached, because those sessions were also played by seven other people and their history has to stay intact.

11.Availability

We try to keep Arena 8 running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error free.

Arena 8 is pre-launch during Season 0. Features may change, and bugs may affect sessions. We will correct what we can.

We are not liable for a session you miss because of a technical failure, though we will refund your entry cost where the failure was ours.

12.Notifications and alarms

Arena 8 relies on notifications to tell you when you are summoned, when to check in, and when a game has ended.

Some notifications are time-critical. If you disable notifications, silence your device, or ignore them, you may miss a session and incur the penalties described above. That is your responsibility, not ours.

The app cannot detect whether your device is on silent. We ask you to confirm you can hear the alarm at check-in. Confirming it is your assurance, not ours.

13.Our content

The Arena 8 name, the app, its design, the character avatars and the ranking system belong to us. You may not copy, resell or reuse them.

Your display name, your photo and your results remain yours. By using Arena 8 you allow us to display them within the platform as the product requires: on leaderboards, in arena rosters and in other players' match history.

14.Liability

To the extent the law allows, Arena 8 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that limitation.

15.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

Continuing to use Arena 8 after a change means you accept it.

16.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai.
